Poor experience.

I had my master cylinder rebuilt, but unfortunately, the first unit failed to bleed properly. I returned it, and the issue was addressed. However, it failed again within 500 km.
I then sent the car to a reputable local brake specialist. Upon inspection, they found a small tear in one of the seals. This allowed fluid from the rear reservoir to slowly leak into the front circuit, eventually leading to a complete loss of braking performance. Fortunately, the failure occurred while I was on my driveway — I hate to think what could have happened had it failed on the road.
The brake specialist suspects the tear occurred during assembly. They believe the resleeving process may have left burrs in the bore that weren’t properly honed, likely damaging the seal during installation.
