Trying to sort out the engine getting hot when stuck in traffic, got the new radiator, had to modify the 4 tab holes to get it to fit, got that done, not really a big deal. You will need a Derale slim line fan, as with the old 4 blade fan there is no chance of the radiator fitting, it is just too wide. With the slim line fan, approx 12mm gap to the radiator. Would have been nice to know that, and get that as a package, so I didn’t have to try and fit the new radiator, refit the old one while I waited to get a slim line fan, do it all again, etc…
All worked out in the end, runs cooler, though still does get pretty hot in heavy traffic, but cools down quickly once you get moving again. I will have to wait and see what happens in the long hot Perth summer.
