The Clevite 77 Conrod Bearing Set, is designed for high-performance applications requiring enhanced oil clearance. This set features a .001-inch extra oil clearance and a narrowed design, making it suitable for small-block engines with standard (STD) rod journals. The "HX" suffix indicates the additional clearance, while the "N" denotes the narrowed configuration.

Clevite 77 bearings are engineered for medium to high RPM ranges and crankshafts with oversized fillets. They offer a medium level of eccentricity, high crush, and a hardened steel back with a thin overlay. The bearings are made without flash plating for better seating and have enlarged chamfers for greater crankshaft fillet clearance. These features contribute to improved performance and durability in demanding engine conditions.

Please note that the "N" series bearings have been narrowed to provide greater crankshaft fillet clearance, replacing the enlarged chamfers found in earlier "H" series bearings. This design change enhances compatibility with crankshafts featuring oversized fillets.
