Overview
This is a serious street and street/strip camshaft for well-prepared small block Mopar combinations where strong top end power, fast throttle response and a tough race-style idle are part of the brief. With 248/254 degrees duration at .050 inch, .576 inch intake lift, .582 inch exhaust lift and a 110 degree lobe separation, it is designed for engines that can support good airflow, compression and rpm.
Best suited to performance Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth and Valiant builds using the 273-360 small block platform, this solid roller cam is aimed at combinations with around 10:1 compression, appropriate cylinder heads, intake, exhaust, gearing and a high stall converter. The 2,800-6,800 rpm operating range makes it a strong choice for owners chasing a more aggressive engine package rather than a mild cruiser cam.
As a solid roller profile, correct matching lifters, valve springs, retainers, pushrods and valvetrain geometry are critical. This cam should be selected as part of a complete engine combination, not as a stand-alone upgrade for an otherwise stock engine.
