Overview
Eagle SIR forged I-beam connecting rods are a strong, sensible upgrade for LA small block Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth and Valiant engine builds using 273ci, 318ci, 340ci or 360ci combinations. Forged from 5140 steel and shot-peened for improved fatigue resistance, these rods are well suited to tough street, cruiser, Pro Street and mild street/strip engines where strength and consistency matter.
Each rod uses a 6.123 inch centre-to-centre length with a bushed small end for floating wrist pins, making them a practical choice for performance piston combinations. The I-beam design provides a good balance of strength and value, while 3/8 inch ARP 8740 cap screws help deliver secure cap clamping under higher engine loads. Supplied as a weight matched set of eight, they are a worthwhile foundation for a fresh small block Mopar rebuild or performance upgrade.
