The FilterMAG SS Autos & Light Truck Series filter magnet is a simple, reusable upgrade designed to help reduce abrasive metal contamination in engine oil. It attaches to the outside of a compatible spin-on oil filter, where its strong magnetic field attracts fine ferrous wear particles and holds them against the inside wall of the filter canister.

This is especially useful for classic Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth and Valiant engines, where protecting bearings, camshaft, lifters and other wearing surfaces is a priority. Standard oil filters do an important job, but very fine metallic particles can continue circulating through the oil system. By helping capture these particles, the FilterMAG assists in keeping the oil cleaner between services and may help reduce ongoing wear in a freshly rebuilt or well-maintained engine.

Designed for spin-on filters measuring approximately 3.5 in. to 4.0 in. in diameter, this unit is easy to transfer when changing the oil filter. Simply remove it from the old filter and refit it to the new one, provided the filter size is suitable.

"How FilterMag Works 
Moving parts operating inside an engine wear and create metallic particles that end up in the circulating oil. Normal oil filters catch particles larger than 25 micron. 
However, smaller particles pass through the filter and continue to circulate in the oil. These particles are small enough to fit between bearing surfaces to continue the wear cycle.
FilterMag’s extremely powerful magnets trap these wear-causing particles on the inside wall of the filter canister removing them from the lubricating oil. 
Removing these particles keeps your oil cleaner and helps to break the wear cycle, increasing the life of your engine."
