Due to the age of our Hemi 6 engines, the alloy oil pumps have seen more than their fair share of vibrations and heat cycles; this causes the retainer arms to form small fractures at the body and eventually break right off. When this occurs, the motor is then quickly destroyed by total loss of oil pressure.
Hemi Performance developed a way to fix the problem, using our retainer plate kit, you'll never suffer from a broken oil pump arm costing you your engine.

- Having an oil pump snap a tab before made me order this product, its good not having to worry about it happening again, did have to modify the sump which had a homemade baffle fitted but that was made to suit a standard pump, everything just bolted in easily.

- Issues Long through bolts bottomed out before correct pressure on washers and angle from top plate to block for oil pump to sit squarely meant that the through bolts bent at the threaded section so did not use this product. Oil pump seal and o ring kit was used and worked well Still thank you for all the great parts I have brought over the years

- My bolts where also supplied slightly to long in length but no real dramas and easy fix with just a shaving 5-6 mm off them. Well made product giving you the extra strength. Still holding strong after 5 years off 6500 rpm regularly!! Will definatly use again on future builds.
