Overview
This Multi-Displacement System solenoid/actuator is a replacement service part for selected 2009-2021 Gen III Hemi 5.7L and 6.4L engines equipped with MDS. The MDS system uses controlled engine oil pressure to activate cylinder deactivation, so a faulty solenoid can lead to poor MDS operation, warning lights, rough running, or related cylinder deactivation fault codes.
Well suited for targeted repair of a failed actuator or for use during broader Hemi engine work, this solenoid helps restore correct oil control to the MDS circuit. Four are required per vehicle.
