Overview
This straight power steering hose adaptor converts a 5/8-18 SAE 45° inverted flare connection to a 9/16-18 JIC 37° male flare (-6 JIC / -6 AN). It lets you run a modern -6 JIC or AN high-pressure power steering hose into a pump, rack or steering box port that uses the common 5/8-18 inverted flare thread (the size normally used with 3/8" tube). It is commonly needed when fitting a rack & pinion steering conversion or making up a custom high-pressure power steering line.
The adaptor is a hydraulic-grade fitting from Pirtek, the same type we use on our own power steering hose assemblies. Check the thread and seat on your existing fitting before ordering. Inverted flare (45°) and JIC (37°) seats are not interchangeable, and inverted flare ports come in several thread sizes, including 1/2-20, 5/8-18 and 11/16-18.
