Originally fitted to E31 & E34 “pacer” optioned cars, this finned drum is a direct replacement or period-correct upgrade for vehicles running 9-inch rear brake drums.
The finned design helps improve heat dissipation compared with plain drums, assisting brake consistency during spirited road use while maintaining an authentic factory-style appearance. A black passivation finish gives the drum a clean, ready-to-fit look, improves resistance to surface rust, and avoids the mess of heavy packing oil. Heat tempered construction also supports long service life and structural stability under normal braking conditions.
