Overview
Replace a tired or incorrect inhibitor switch with the correct single pin neutral-safety switch for early TorqueFlite 904 and 727 automatic transmissions. This switch is suited to early Valiant applications including RV1, SV1, AP5 and AP6 models using the original single terminal wiring loom.
Using the correct switch helps avoid unnecessary wiring changes and keeps the installation neat and factory-style. It is designed as a direct replacement for the early single pin type, helping restore proper neutral-start safety operation so the vehicle will only crank when the transmission selector is in the correct position.
Please check your existing switch before ordering. The measurement from the tip to the mounting flange should be approximately 13.5mm. This part is not suitable for later 3-pin applications or transmissions requiring a different switch length.
