This 2500 stall Street Master torque converter suits the A518 (46RE / 47RE) electronic 4-speed overdrive TorqueFlite with the 23 spline input shaft and lock-up clutch. A 2500 rpm stall is a moderate step up from stock that sharpens throttle response and launch on a mildly modified street engine. It still drives well in daily use and with towing, and the lock-up clutch keeps cruise rpm and transmission temperatures down on the highway.
It is a good choice for a 46RE / 47RE equipped Dodge Ram or other Mopar running a cam, intake or gear upgrade, and for Mopar builds converted to the A518 overdrive automatic. Confirm your transmission is the lock-up 46RE / 47RE with a 23 spline input before ordering. Non lock-up 46RH / 47RH and early 24 spline units need a different converter.
